About

This famous Hawaii restaurant chain was designed as a compliment to the UnderWater World (UWW) aquarium that shares the same building. Progression from UWW to the restaurant is introduced by a winding staircase with custom undulating handrails. At the top of the stairs, patrons are greeted by a dynamic bar area complete with life-size whale about that appear to leap through the roof of the building to the outside. This cool glass clad space gives the feeling of an underwater habitat. The aquarium topped bar, the swirling water-colored floor patterns and the swaying kelp clad columns all serve to add to this underwater fantasy, making visitors feel like they are inside the fish tank looking out to the street below.
