About

This project involved highly diverse personalities and needs, but shared common visions and goals. Ultimately, Mirror Lake Middle School was created by a large group of dedicated individuals representing the Anchorage School District (project managers, school administrators and faculty, students, parents), the surrounding community, and a committed team of architects, engineers and construction professionals.

The design is efficient, taking full advantage of the panorama of the Chugach Mountain Range. State-of-the-art teaching technology has been incorporated into the design. The central layout contains 36 classrooms to accommodate the projected enrollment of 1,100 students, a general administrative area, plus the following rooms: Fine Arts, Library, Music, Physical Education/Gymnasium and Industrial Technology Education.
