This project is a renovation of an existing boutique space at The Plaza in Tumon, Guam. Work included interior renovation of the first and second floor of the boutique and redesign of the exterior façade. RIM Architects provided construction documents, construction contract administration, and bidding services for the client. RIM assisted the client with the development of the overall schedule, fixture, and contractor construction schedule. Concept design and shop drawings were provided by the client’s designers, Kenneth Park Architects. As the Architect-of-Record RIM prepared an as-built survey, bid documents, bid analysis and assisted the owner with bid negotiations.

The challenge was to provide window graphics on the storefront façade where an existing restaurant within the Outrigger Hotel that overlooks Tumon and not obstruct views for restaurant customers. MK was able to tap into their New York City experience and worked with a NYC-based graphics designer to rise to the challenge. The top and bottom of the window frame are lined with Exterior LEDs, which work at night.
